About summer work gloves
EN 388 is the European standard for gloves against mechanical risks. It grades abrasion, cut, tear and puncture, and since the 2016 revision it records cut resistance on the TDM scale from A to F using a straight blade test. For summer the priority is a glove light enough to stay on: a thin breathable coating on the palm and fingers gives grip and protection without trapping heat, where a fully coated or lined glove would be too hot and get taken off.
Match the glove to the task rather than reaching for the heaviest. A PU palm grip glove suits general handling, assembly and warehouse work; a cut-resistant style such as the A622 is the choice where sheet metal, glass or blades are involved.
